thank you loyal cupcakers for helping to make our pre-opening opening a success! on friday 1/19 we opened our belmont doors and offered a taste of what’s to come: fresh baked and fun cupcake combos in custom boxes of 6 full or 12 dots. even with only this size available, we sold out of them everyday last week; somedays we even had to close early! today we had to close our doors at 1pm! eegads!

this friday, february 2, we will be officially operating with ALL of our cupcake combo sizes. this means that if you want just one cupcake, you can have one cupcake. we don’t know why you would want just one, but who are we to judge? if you want 24 dots, well you can have them all in one box! the choice is yours! check out our belmont menu for more deets.

check this out: now you can have saint cupcake brought to your lap, provided you live or work in the portland area.

saint cupcake also is looking to overtake the flower delivery industry, replacing flowers with cupcakes; edible cupcakes that don’t need water.  so it need not be your lap to which we deliver.  it could be to the lap of a sweetheart you’d like to win over, or to the lap of someone who deserves an apology, thank you or pleasant surprise of a box full of cupcakes.

new year’s resolutions are for followers

and we know you, cupcaker; you are a leader. don’t let the time’s square ball dropping down over shivering party goers dictate what you are going to eat and especially not eat in 2007. no old anging sign (or what ever that dumb song is) should guilt you into calling long lost friends, either.  there is a reason you don’t talk to those people anymore, anyway, remember?  but that is not the point of this blog today, my friends.  today, saint cupcake wants you to join in the resolution revolution. don’t ‘just say no’ to a delicious cupcake because it is january and you think your butt looks big.  so what if your thighs touch a little.  don’t do it to yourself and don’t do it to saint cupcake.  we promise to stay true to you.  for the love of frosting, stay true to us.  endulge a little.  you can do it responsibly.  find another resolution if you have to.  don’t take it out on cupcakes.

if you insist on "losing 7 in ‘07" or eliminating sweets (gulp) completely, or you’re really just going to eat healthy and cupcakes have no place in your new lifestyle, than fine.  we support that. we won’t be bitter and we will miss you.  we will always be here for you, too. but keep in mind we are open regular store hours on new year’s eve  (10am to 6pm) and according to new year’s resolution policy and procedures, you have 6 full hours and one minute after we close to eat cupcakes until your new life starts.  ooh, and sunday is pistachio buttercream.  happy new year.
