saint cupcake and saint patrick were real tight back in the day. inseparable, really. saint cupcake’s older and less notable brother, carl was on the same road bowling team as saint pat. in fact, it was saint cupcake (before she her canonization) that first introduced saint patrick to beer. crazy, huh? now look at what has happened to march 17th. it’s all about beer and corned beef. and now for my question to you: what goes with beer and corned beef? i mean besides cabbage. yes! cupcakes! pretty green cupcakes! o’yummy!

in honor of saint patrick’s day and because we are normally not open on mondays, saint cupcake will be closed on the 17th. but come by on sunday and pick up cupcakes for monday’s festivities! they’ll look like they were decorated by real life leprechauns!

is february 29th your birthday? that’s funny. i’m sorry, that sucks. but at least your birthday’s not on christmas or anything. anyhoo, if your birthday is on february 29th, we think you are entitled to some cupcakes. so stop by either location and pick up 4 cupcakes for the price of 1. get it? 3 free cupcakes for all the birthdays you missed out on since your last birthday. just make sure you can prove it’s your birthday. as much as we trust YOU we know that there may be some stinkers out there who would try and take advantage of this special day. happy birthday!

interview of the year!!!!

our little jami has been named the recipient of an award for interview of the year! can you believe it? you would if you have ever interviewed the mastermind behind saint cupcake. seriously, ask the girl a question and she will delight you with an answer. jami is charming with a capital cha, and it turns out there is actually an award for that!  it seems that nicolle of nicolle shops portland (on KPTV and 105.1 the buzz morning show) is having a HUGE event on wednesday, february 27th at the wonder ballroom here in portland to honor her favorite places in portland to spend money. on top of being asked to participate in the fete, nicolle wants to applaud jami for being charismatic as all get out in front of the camera and for being a super savvy entrepreneur, even if she is a girl . those of us who know her well understand why. and hot dang we are hoping jami gives a speech. if her nervousness manifests at all like it did a couple of years ago while being interviewed by livewire on opb, you won’t be disappointed. when she gets real flustered, she accidentally cusses or makes strange noises.  we hope to see you there! tickets are still on sale! congrats, jami! and on behalf of our cupcakes and staff, thanks, nicolle!!!!

in honor of our youngest and only other store, we are designating february “saint cupcake on belmont” month. from now until the end of february (that’s the 29th, y’all! there’s an extra day to party!) we are having a drawing at the belmont store, se 33rd and you guessed it, belmont! here’s your chance, belmont customers, to be like jackson cafazzo and win a cupcake EVERY DAY FOR A WHOLE ENTIRE YEAR!!! all you have to do is go in, fill out the drawing slip, put it in the special saint-cupcake-win-a-cupcake-every-day-for a-year-drawing-bucket and tadah! if you are as blessed as our beloved jackson, you will get lots of cupcakes for free. only not all at the same time. you have to come in everyday or when ever you want a free cupcake, which for jackson, is everyday.
